Other
This is for topics that do not fit into the above categories. The purpose of the Graptemys.com forum is to discuss the in-situ issues dealing with map turtles. It is my intent to limit the discussions to non-husbandry/propagation topics. (not that there is anything wrong with those topics). Turtleforum.com and Turtletimes.com are excellent forums with a lot of information on husbandry and breeding techniques as well as the same issues to be discussed here. I highly recommend both of those forums as a source for ALL kinds of useful information involving turtles and tortoises.

Graptemys.com T-Shirts
In order to help fund current and future Graptemys research projects as well as to advertise the site, I have developed a T-shirt. These shirts are very high-quality. The embroidered logo was copied from the yellow-blotched map turtle (Graptemys flavimaculata) on the home page. That design went through six different revisions with added colored threading. This made the shirt very expensive to create. The shirt is cotton and the colors are pigment dyed. They have a faded look that is both unique and "stylish". They are much different than the usual black or white herp shirt.
The profits made from the sale of these shirts will go directly to in-situ Graptemys research. The cost of the shirt is $20 plus $3.50 shipping and handling. For more details including colors and availability, go to http://www.graptemys.com/shirts.htm
